To celebrate the close of the year, Chendi and I went to go see the (epic) The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Originally expanded from the F. Scott Fitzgerald epic of the same title, it traverses along this crazy 3 hour path, punctuated by the characters that Ben(jamin) meets along the way.

Here Brad Pitt (courtesy of a lot of computer animation and FX makeup) is flexing away as a spry 70 year old.

One of the BEST parts of the movie was the fun “lightning strikes” guy – who kept saying “Did you know I got struck by lightning 7 times??” and then goes to recount 5 different times he got hit…uhm the ones I can remember off the top of my head..

  • One time I was just standing there, minding my own business…
  • One time I was just out walking my dog…
  • Woops, anyone else want to tell me any they remember?

    1. This is one movie I’m definitely looking forward to seeing :)

    2. Go check it out while it’s still on the big screen, John!

    3. I just saw the movie, it was better than i was expecting. I didnt really think it appealed to me, but i went with some friends and enjoyed it

I believe there were 6 lightning strikes in the movie,
      -fixing a leaky roof
-across the road checking the mail
      -in a paddock
-driving his car, minding his own business
-taking a dog for a walk
-*then at the end there was no “story” but he was by a fence (just before the credits)*

    4. I would have forgotten the last one but Zingi pointed it out.

      Times:
      0:37:35 Fixing roof leak;
      Getting mail
      0:42:45 Tending to his cows
1:26:44 Sitting in his truck minding own business
1:40:30 Walking dog down the road
      2:38:05 Standing by fence

      It’s a good movie. Lenght: 2.75 hours
