Racist Chihuahua movie aka Beverly Hills Chihuahua from Disney
Sigh. Please don’t go and spend your money on this - once again, it’s a Chihuahua with a Mexican accent who is descended from Aztecs??

One of the comments on Youtube describes this best:
“Yes!! HOLLYWOOD sucks (mistakes in this film)… Incas were from Peru, and Aztecs were from Mexico and Chihuahuas were sacred dogs in Aztec mythology, they follow you in the underworld as protection.”

On a side note, they’ve now created new trailers that focus more on the humans/girl Chihuahua. . . maybe to take away the brutal racist sting of the first one? mmmm….

Papi is a supporting role, who goes to look for Chloe. There is an Aztec part, but the dogs just talk about the Origins of Chihuahua’s. GIVE IT A CHANCE, BECAUSE IT’S A WONDERFUL FAMILY FLICK. A lot of kids laughed, and a lot of teens and parents to. And the graphics were awesome.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua is a horrific film, which speaks volumes about your intelligence level. There is an Aztec part, but my poor grammar and sentence structure can’t complete this thought. Indeed Berry, I haven’t seen this movie nor will I.
However, saying that just because the graphics were pretty or that young children and adults liked the movie does not make it not racist - it makes it well-funded.
I have given other racist Disney movies a chance before and accepted that they are typically funny but heavily geared towards a white audience - can we discuss the name “Mu Shu” for the dog in Mulan? You may not think it’s racist to name the dog after a bastardized American (Chinese) dish, but alas.
